Xiaomi is the largest Chinese smartphone manufacturer and cutting off rumors they recently introduced their latest flagship Xiaomi Mi 5 in the MWC in Beijing. The latest Xiaomi Mi 5 is packed with multiple new features and running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow the latest firmware available at the moment, the Marshmallow for Xiaomi Mi 5 is skinned into their default MIUI OS. The MIUI OS is based on Android OS but it has pretty changed interface and no app drawer is found. Even the latest device is revealed under the hood by disassembling the Xiaomi Mi 5 by a source.
Just like Android OS Xiaomi also provides updates to it’s devices, last year MIUI 7 was released acrossed the Globe for popular Xiaomi devices and then an update of MIUI 7.1 was released later. Now Xiaomi has just seeded another latest firmware update MIUI 7.2 for multiple Xiaomi devices which include, Xiaomi Mi 5, Xiaomi 4S, Xiaomi Mi 2/2S, Xiaomi Note Advance, Xiaomi 4C, Xiaomi 3 TD, Xiaomi Mi Pad 1, Xiaomi Redmi Note and Xiaomi Redmi 1S. Infact multiple other devices are soon going to be received the latest update, even if your device is not in the list don’t worry you will be receiving the update anytime soon between a couple of days.
The latest MIUI 7.2 is packed with multiple new features and redesigned interface, some of the new features added in the MIUI 7.2 update are the permission for creating home screen shortcuts, bugs fixed in the file explorer and multiple other optimizations in overall Systems. The update are already heading towards Chinese variants but if you are the owner of international variants then you have to wait a while so that the things settled update to roll out OTA for the rest of devices.
