Before you begin:

You need to prepare your device for the firmware update process, follow the below perquisites steps to keep the firmware update process smooth without facing errors.
Keep your battery charged or at least your device should contain at least 80% charge before the flashing operation.
TWRP custom recovery must be installed on your device or follow this guide to install it.
Android USB drivers for your device should be installed on your PC, or you can download the latest USB drivers for your device from the below provided link.
Enable USB debugging and check the Allow Mock Locations option too. To enable USB debugging in your device go to Setting >> Developer options >> USB debugging. USB debugging is meant for the development purpose hence it will ask you for the confirmation so tap OK to confirm.
Sometimes “Developer options” are not visible in device settings menu, so what you need to do is, go to Settings >> About device >> Software information and there you will see an option build number. Tap it 7 times until a pop up arises with a message that you are now a developer, that’s it now go back and the Developers option is visible in the settings menu
How to manually install Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on Galaxy S6 SM-G920F via Odin
Download Android 6.0.1 Stock Marshmallow for Galaxy S6 and copy it to phone’s internal memory.

Download 6.0.1 Marshmallow Bootloader
To update Galaxy S6 SM-G920F to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow firmware you need to download and extract Odin flash tool on PC. You can download Odin 3.10.6 from the below provided link.
Download Odin 3.10.6 [Just extract it]
Click the Odin.exe file in the extracted folder to run the Odin tool.
Now turn off your device and boot into Download Mode. Now turn on your device again by pressing and holding Home Button+Volume Down +Power Key simultaneously until you see a warning logo now press Volume up to boot your device into Download Mode.
Download Mode is the zone where you perform the installation related stuff, now connect your phone to your PC via USB cable.
You will be given the successful connection notification. The ID:COM box will turn Blue indicating that your device is now detected by Odin.
Now click the Option Tab in the Odin screen and make sure “Auto Reboot” & “F.Reset Time” options are checked on Odin.
Once done with the above steps now we are coming back to the main task, click the BL tab and choose the Android 5.1.1 bootloader file you download above.
You will see a “PASS” message in the ID:COM box once the firmware installation process is done by Odin.
Now boot your device to TWRP recovery and flash the Marshmallow Android 6.0.1 zip and then reboot your device.
Again boot into download and click the BL tab and this time choose the Android 6.0.1 bootloader file and flash it.
Your device will reboot itself.
